The WOVEN in Kirklees project "Stitched Resilience" was a collection of work curated by artist Nicola Twynham for Kirklees Council that brought together a huge array of pieces from people within the local community. The pieces reflected how people were feeling, how small businesses adapted and how communities were supporting each other throughout the Covid19 pandemic.
Nicola Twynham describes how the project "celebrates, commemorates, and demonstrates our resilience, our hopefulness, and the powerful experiences we’ve all had through the narrative of textiles"
The pieces were displayed on boards in Dewsbury Town Centre as well as online.
