The idea behind this mixed-media project was to create exciting pieces from mundane, everyday situations. The paintings are still-life but hold a sense of movement with the loose brushstrokes and markings. A lot of the pieces incorporate crumpled fabric, dripping paint and hanging objects capturing a moment in time as if the person using them has only just left the scene.
The final collection consisted of collograph prints, graphite drawings and acrylic paintings ranging from strong monochromatic black and white pieces through to very bright and bold, colourful pieces.
